  • What is Dry Floatation?
    Dry floatation is the experience of floating with no requirement to undress or get wet. The innovative Zerobody system contains 400 litres of water which enables you to experience complete weightlessness and complete relaxation.
  • What are the benefits of dry floatation?
    Zerobody Dry Floatation Bed sessions offer a variety of benefits. These include improved sleep quality, reduced stress, anxiety, and tension, increased relaxation, improved focus and concentration, reduced pain and inflammation, improved cognitive function and mental performance, shortened and improved recovery from injury and improved overall wellbeing.
  • How long do sessions last?
    We offer 30 minute, 60 minute and 90 minute floatation sessions. Please arrive 5 minutes before your session to receive your floatation briefing.
  • What should I wear to a session?
    Dry floatation does not require you to undress. Please wear light, comfortable, loose clothing. Jackets, belts and any spikey items of clothing will be required to be removed before floating.
  • How do I float?
    Our Zerobody Dry Floatation Bed is an innovative relaxation technology that provides a weightless experience designed to reduce stress and improve relaxation. This treatment is conducted in a zero gravity environment, and involves lying on a special air-filled mattress that supports the entire body. This creates a feeling of weightlessness, allowing the body to relax completely and the mind to drift away.
  • Can anyone use dry floatation?
    There are no restrictions to dry floatation like there are for other more hands on therapies. We do require you to complete a client questionnaire including medical history and medications - in order that we can best support you get the most from the therapy. The only restriction set is that you should not be under the influence of alcohol or drugs when presenting for your floatation session.
  • Can pregnant women float?
    Absolutely! Dry floatation is suitable throughout pregnancy and can help with pregnancy issues such as pelvic pain and fatigue.
  • Can children float?
    Anyone of any age can benefit from dry floatation, however we ask that all under 16s are accompanied throughout their session by a parent or guardian - who must consent to their treatment. Younger children (under 12) are generally more comfortable with shorter sessions.
  • Can someone be with me in the floatation room?
    A key part of dry floatation is sensory deprivation. You will be given an eye mask (optional) and headphones to wear. Therefore it is recommended that you do not have anyone else in the room with you unless there is a key need to do so. Carers are always welcome to attend a session if required.
  • Is the room locked during a dry floatation session?
    Yes. Once our receptionist has talked you through the dry floatation session you will be left alone in the room. The door can be locked and unlocked from the inside easily. No one will enter the floatation room unless there is an emergency or concern for an individuals welfare.
  • What should I do to prepare for a session?
    It is advised not to drink caffeinated drinks a couple of hours before the session as this can affect your ability to relax and switch off. It is also not advised to eat a heavy meal in the hour before a session for comfort purposes.
  • How will I feel after a session?
    Dry floatation is a unique experience. Most people feel relaxed and re-energised similar to waking from a restful sleep. Others can feel a little spaced out for a short time. We recommend you gently sit up and wait a few seconds before standing up. A chair and a glass of water will be provided for you in the floatation room.
  • Is there anything I should or shouldn't do after a floatation session?
    Everyone is different. Some use floatation before or after another therapy session - others use it on their lunch break. The best thing to do is listen to your body and keep hydrated throughout the day.
  • Will I get wet?
    No. This is dry floatation. You remain completely dry, suspended on top of 400 litres of water protected by a plastic membrane. It is like floating on a cloud.
  • Can I stop a session?
    Yes. You remain in complete control at all times. The ZeroBody floatation bed will be programmed for the session but you can stop the session at any time at the touch of a button.
  • How many sessions will I need to feel the benefits?
    Everyone experiences dry floatation differently. Most people will notice some benefits after just one float, but as with meditation and other therapies the more you practice the greater the benefits. With floatation, the more you float the quicker your body will relax and your mind switch off and the deeper the benefits you will experience.
  • What do I need to bring to a session?
    Just yourself. Dry floatation is so convenient and easy. You remain fully clothed and there is no need to shower.
